About Us

Jen is in her third year of medical school in El Paso. She loves to sew, cook, and dance, but she's better at leading than at following.
- Jennifer can't leave a hardware store without at least one paint chip and dreams of one day painting her kitchen pale aqua, or maybe buttercream yellow.
- Jen doesn't have any pets of her own, but she's been upgraded in Lucky (Mark's cat)'s opinion from "definite predator" to "debatably tamed possible predator", which is progress.

Mark is a graphic artist in Dallas. He loves comic books and Monet, and he's always loyal to his beloved Kansas City Chiefs, even when they break his heart. I mean, Boom.
- Mark thinks colors should have sensible names like "light blue green" and "very light warm yellow". He thinks walls should be white, the better to display quirky art.
- As far as Lucky is concerned nobody in the world matters except for Mark. Because he's the food-giver.

Mark met Jen at a board game night at the house of their friends Danny and Julie. Jen met Mark a couple of weeks later at a museum outing with the same group. Who says you don't get a second chance to make a first impression?

Fortunately Mark and Jen don't belive in fate, otherwise they may be concerned about fate trying to keep them apart. Shortly after they started dating Mark was transferred to Corpus Christi. When Mark's time in Corpus Christi was done Jen got accepted to medical school in El Paso, while Mark was moved to Dallas.
